How can I add additional storage capacity to my DVR?
From Luxor Help
It is possible to extend the recording capacity of your DVR by adding a larger, or additional hard drive to your current system setup.
Falco Pro Series DVR
The Falco Pro Series DVR uses a SATA 2 drive. The 4 channel system has one internal SATA 2 connection for one installed drive. The 9 and 16 channel systems have two SATA 2 connections allowing for two installed drives. There is no known size limit and systems have been tested with two 1.5terabyte installed.
JPEG2000 DVR
The Dual Codec JPEG2000 DVR has two internal SATA 2 connectors to support two installed drives. There is no known size limit, but system has not been tested with drives larger than 1 Terabyte.
MPEG4 DVR
The MPEG4 DVRs will use one of two different types of hard drive(s), depending on the version of the DVR. Four channel MPEG4 DVRs manufactured before July 2008 will use an IDE hard drive. These are identified with the ribbon cable data connector. Four channel MPEG4 DVRs manufactured after July 2008 will use a SATA 2 hard drive. These are identified by the red data and power connectors. Both four channel units will support one hard drive. There is no known size limit but the system has only been tested on drives up to 500gb. The 8 and 16 channel units both require IDE hard drives.
