The term Package refers to a several pieces of equipment needed to set up a CCTV system, sold at once, at a combined price. Packages typically include a DVR unit with an installed 250GB Hard drive, several cameras, one 100-foot Siamese cable for each camera, a BNC to RCA cable for television connectivity, and all necessary software for remoteview.

Advantages

The advantages to purchasing a package include the following:

• Connectivity - all cameras, cables, and DVRs will hook up easily. You don't have to worry about something not fitting.
• Compatibility - all package components are guaranteed to be compatible. You don't have to worry about a camera not working with a DVR or power supply.
• Price - buying everything at once allows for a lower total cost and one weighed, combined shipping fee. This is more economical than purchasing cameras, cables, connectors, and a DVR from separate dealers or at separate times.
• Support - purchasing and using all Luxor products enables you to receive lifetime technical support for all of your products.

It is also important to know that Packages are fully customizable. At additional, discounted rates, you can upgrade to longer cables, better cameras, and larger (or multiple) hard drives. In the case of the MPEG4 DVR's, you can also elect to purchase a VGA card and DVD burner. The JPEG2000 DVR already includes these pieces of hardware.
